What to Bring with your pet
- Your pet’s vaccine records.
- Your pet’s town licensing record.
- Bring your own food: Pet’s sensitive digestive systems do best when kept on a regular diet. Please only provide enough food for your stay. Bring food in a Ziploc baggies or small container, labeled with your pet’s name. Supplies must fit in your dog’s personal locker and we do not have the space to store large bins or food bags.
- Bring your pet’s medication in the original, labeled container. Yes, we will administer any vet-prescribed medication, insulin, pills, ointment, and liquids.
- If you would like to bring an old t-shirt that you’ve slept in, something that has your scent on it, for your dog to have in their room, you are welcome to. However, we cannot promise that any items will be returned to you and we cannot be responsible for damage to them. If your dog is a chewer, we will not leave them unattended overnight with items.
- All pets must in good health!
What NOT to Bring
- Sick or injured pets
- Leave your pet’s bedding at home. In order to maintain a clean environment for everyone, Wagging Tails will provide your dog with a raised bed, and we have our own toys that are sanitized daily. Some packages include blankets, or you can add-on bedding to your package.
- Bowls and toys (we have plenty and can’t promise your pet will return home with them).
Boarding Policies
Let’s dig in! Here’s what to expect!
- All dogs must come in for an Evaluation Day prior to scheduling any daycare or cage-free boarding
- Evaluation Days must be scheduled in advance of your departure day. During that day, we will slowly introduce your dog to several dogs and integrate them into group play. Evaluation Day is $40 and is not refundable. Any dog who has not been here in over 6 months must repeat the evaluation process.
- Dogs that require individual one-on-one attention, or do not pass our group evaluation, must be lodged individually. (additional fee).
- All breeds are welcome.
- We recommend that your dog attends several days of daycare to familiarize them with the facility and friends prior to their vacation stay at Wagging Tailss.
- Daycare is included in all overnight boarding fees!
- Pets of the same family may room together. Based on space availability. A signed waiver is required by the State of Connecticut.
- 50% deposit is required to reserve your pet’s stay.
- Client Agreements and Contracts, located in your Client Portal specify our strict cancellation, service, and payment policies.
- Rabies, Distemper, Parvo, Bordetella vaccines must be up to date. Proof is required before your departure.
- Town Licensing must be up to date. Proof is required by CT State Law.
- Lobbies open from approximately 630AM to 7PM. 7 days/week. Weather permitting.
- We operate the same as a human resort. With strict check-in and out times.
- Check-In Time: 1PM to 7PM. An Early Check-In Fee incurs prior to 1PM.
- Check-out time is between 10AM and 12:30PM.
- Late Check Out Fee incurs after 1PM. Departures after that time incur an additional nightly fee. We do need to clean rooms prior to the next dog checking in, so we do have a strict checkout time policy. We do not mind dogs staying later, or coming earlier, but there IS an additional fee.
- No checkouts will occur prior to 10AM. This allows us time to serve breakfast and to give Exit Baths to dogs prior to checkout.
- All guests staying 2 nights or more are required to visit our Spaw and have an Exit Bath on the day of checkout. This ensures they’re clean and smelling fresh for their return to you! (Additional fee)
- Packages that include extras are one per NIGHT.
- Of course, additional services are always available a la carte.
- There are no substitutions to the package offerings.
- Although we currently include Photo Report Cards in your pet’s day, as you can imagine, they are extremely time-consuming to photograph, separate, and send, to each parent. To focus our time on your pet, these emails are not sent until the end of the day.
- Calls and emails to us inquiring about your pet’s well-being are ALWAYS welcome. We want you to relax and enjoy your vacations and time away, knowing your pets are in fantastic care. Please feel free to contact us from 7AM to 7PM daily with inquiries. (860) 621-7387 (Pets)
