If you have to work a long day, drop your dog off at Wagging Tails Pet Resort & Spaw – a 9,000-square-foot, clean, safe daycare on 6 acres! Your pet’s day will include playtime, nap time, treat time, more play time, some training and even a few days of arts & crafts!
Our outdoor fenced-in play area features professional dog play equipment, bone and paw-shaped splash pools, bubbles, ball pits and more! For the older dogs that just want to chillax, we offer a quiet area for them to lounge and relax as much as they want! Play groups are separated by size, breed and temperament.
Plus, from April to October, our daycare offers a unique opportunity for your dog to swim in our 45’ saltwater pool!
Your dog will return home tired and happy after a day with their furry friends. And you can schedule a bath, massage, a la carte grooming services and other activities and extras for your pet to enjoy during their day at doggie daycare.
Requirements
- We offer pet care for all ages! Please contact us to discuss your dog's age and the appropriate programs that we offer for your dog's age. YES, we do offer Puppy Nursery School and Senior Pet Care.
- Dogs 12 months of age and older SHOULD be spayed or neutered. However, we understand that many breeders and veterinarians are recommending later ages for the surgeries. So, Wagging Tails will discuss with you the options we offer based on your pet's age, behaviors and training. If your dog is over 12 months of age and is not spayed or neutered, this does not mean that they are not eligible for our daycare program. It means that we will evaluate their behaviors and place them in the appropriate playgroups or individual care program. Please contact us with any questions.
- Dogs must be on a veterinarian approved flea or tick preventative.
- Proof of up-to-date Rabies, Distemper, Parvovirus, Bordetella and Canine influenza vaccines are required. As of 2023, some veterinarians do not require Canine Influenza vaccines. If your veterinarian is not administering this vaccine, we can waive this requirement.
- All dogs must have a temperament evaluation prior to their acceptance into our daycare program. This evaluation is performed over several hours and requires a reservation. You will receive a detailed report card.
- Dogs must have quick release collars. If you do not have one, we offer collars for sale in our lobbies.
- If your dog exhibits signs of aggression towards other dogs, we regret that they will not be accepted into daycare.
- Daycare reservations are required. Last minute cancellations and no show fees apply.
Hours
Doggie daycare is open 7 days a week from 6:30am to 7pm.
Pickup must be by 7pm. Any dogs present after 7pm will incur an overnight boarding fee.
Pricing: We accept all major credit cards. We do not accept checks. Pricing is subject to change without notice. Price does not include CT Sales Tax.
Full Day Daycare: $37
Half Day Daycare: (up to 5 hours) $28. After 5 hours our software automatically charges a full day.
DISCOUNT PACKAGES: Please note that packages expire 60 days from purchase. They are non-refundable and non-transferable. 2 dogs from one household may not split the use of a package (use is for one dog, per package). Full Day Packages cannot be split to be used for half day daycare.

10 Full Days: $338 (only $33.80 per day)
20 Full Days: $644 (only $32.20 per day)
HALF DAY PACKAGES:
5 Half Days: $134 (only $26.80 per day)

We know dogs really enjoy their play time, nap time, treat time and ALL the time, here during their days at daycare, BUT, we've also created some enriching, educational and fun activities for your dog to enjoy too!
WEEKLY EVENTS: Vary based on the season! Pricing is additional to the daycare fee and includes treats, games and photos. See below for some photos/ads of some recent event examples which include, Dog Prom, Luau, Pool Pawty, Foam Pawty, in our warmer months and Bark To School Pawty, Cutest Pumpkin in the Patch Pawty, Howloween Pawty, Hairy Pawter Pawty, Santa Claus visit...and so much more! Event pricing is in addition to the daycare fee and ranges from $13 to $20. Reservations are required. These events are popular so we've created a DISCOUNTED event package!
EVENT PACKAGE: 5 events for $65 (restrictions apply)
WEEKLY SPECIALS: available to our daycare and boarding guests while they are here! Monday Manicures (discounted nail clippings), Training Tuesdays (we work on one specific command or trick), Woofle Wednesdays (homemade waffle treats), Thinking Thursdays (brain work! puzzles and games with treats), Ice Cream Socials (yes, we have puppy ice cream!) Bacon flavored is a favorite!
NATURE TRAIL WALK PACKAGE: $50 for 5 walks
We offer discounts for one-on-one time with our Pet Care Specialists, while we taek a lovely, leg stretching jaunt through the trails on our 6 acres. This service is $12 per walk. However, the discount makes it only $10!
CRAFTY K9 PACKAGE: $60 for 5 Crafty K9 activities.
Enrichment activities are part of our daily offerings here! We offer the opportunity to further educate your pooch and we love to engage with them in some fun activities! Our Crafty K9 activity is when your dog participates in creating a work of "heart" for you to take home and cherish. Your dog will enjoy one on one interaction, acclimate to having their paws or noses touched, feel different surfaces, and create a one of a kind craft for you. From pawprint painting, to lick it masterpieces, our creativity and your dog's participation, has no limits. Crafty K9 activities change weekly, and can be added on to your dog's day. This service is $13 to $15 per creation. However, we offer a discount package.
SWIMMING POOL PASSES: $13 per day.
Exterior swimming pool is open May through September. Pool Passes are required. Please ask us about our Pool Pass Packages! Our NEW interior pool opens October 2023 in Wagging Tails' West Hartford location.
