Since 1995, (yup, we're proud of 28 years in business in Connecticut), Wagging Tails has been providing award winning, professional, loving pet care. Now, with a second location, conveniently located in West Hartford, you can rest assured that while you run errands, work long days, or go away, your pet is in fantastic care.

Just like children’s daycare, your pet’s day includes playtime, nap time, training/education time, treat time, more play time and even a few days of arts of crafts! Our facility is the largest in the area. 13000 sf of HUGE areas for dogs to romp, play, rest and relax.

Your dog(s) will make plenty of friends (both human and canine) in play groups customized according to size, breed, age and temperament. Wagging Tails provides enriching play equipment, in a spotless facility, equipped with air scrubbing equipment that kills virus and bacteria causing canine illness, and piped in spa grade lavender scent to aid in calming canines. We pick experienced pet care professionals to care for your dogs. Our staff are trained to know pet behavior, and physical attributes leading to play, aggression, exhaustion, etc.

BONUS! Since we know every pet parent wants to know how their dog’s day was, (but they can’t tell you!), as part of our service, you receive daily Report Cards with photos or videos of your dog’s day!

Our outdoor fenced-in play area features professional dog play equipment, bone and paw-shaped splash pools, bubbles, ball pits and more! For the older dogs that just want to chillax, we offer a quiet area for them to lounge and relax as much as they want!

What’s a resort without a pool?! From April to October, our daycare offers a unique opportunity for your dog to swim in our saltwater pool! Your dog will return home tired and happy, after a day with their furry friends.

Wagging Tails Pet Resort & Spaw is a full service facility… we provide pretty much every service a pet needs (except vet care). So, you can schedule a bath, massage, a la carte grooming services, treadmill time, birthday pawties, and other activities and extras for your pet to enjoy during their day at doggie daycare!

If your dog is not social, doesn’t enjoy the company of other dogs, or prefers to lounge the day away at home, on your sofa, Wagging Tails also provides at your home dog walking and pet sitting services 365 days a year by bonded, insured, background checked, pet care professionals.

Requirements

Please contact us for age requirements. We offer pet care for all ages! YES, we do have Puppy Nursery care, and yes, we do have Senior Dog Care.
Dogs 12 months of age and older SHOULD be spayed or neutered. However, we understand that many breeders and veterinarians are recommending later ages for the surgeries. So, Wagging Tails will discuss with you the options we offer based on your pet's age, behaviors and training. If your dog is over 12 months of age and is not spayed or neutered, this does not mean that they are not eligible for our daycare program. It means that we will evaluate their behaviors and place them in the appropriate playgroups or individual care program. Please contact us with any questions.
Dogs must be on a veterinarian approved flea or tick preventative.
Proof of up-to-date Rabies, Distemper, Parvovirus, Bordetella and Canine Influenza vaccines are required. As of 2023, many vets are not recommending Canine Influenza vaccines. If your vet does not recommend the vaccine, then we will waive the requirement.
All dogs must have a temperament evaluation prior to their acceptance into our daycare program. This evaluation is performed over several hours. You will receive a detailed report card. Reservations are required.
If your dog exhibits signs of aggression towards other dogs, we regret that they will not be accepted into daycare.
Dogs must have quick release collars. If you do not have one, we offer collars for sale in our lobby.
Reservations for daycare are required. Last minute cancellations or no shows will result in a no show fee charged to you, or a package credit deducted.

Hours

Doggie daycare is open 7 days a week from 6:30am to 7pm. Please note that hours are subject to change without notice.
Pickup must be by 7pm. Any dogs present after 7pm will incur an overnight boarding fee.

PRICING: We accept all major credit cards. Pricing is subject to change without notice. Pricing below does not include CT Sales Tax.

Full Day Daycare: $37

Half Day Daycare: (up to 5 hours) $28. After 5 hours, our software automatically charges a Full Day of Daycare.

DISCOUNT PACKAGES: Please note that packages expire 60 days from purchase. They are non-refundable and non-transferable. 2 dogs from one household may not split the use of a package (use is for one dog, per package). Full Day Packages cannot be split to be used for half days.

FULL DAY PACKAGES:

5 Full Days: $177 (only $35.40 per day)

10 Full Days: $338 (only $33.80 per day)

20 Full Days: $644 (only $32.20 per day)

HALF DAY PACKAGES:

5 Half Days: $134 (only $26.80 per day)

10 Half Days: $256 (only $25.60 per day)

20 Half Days: $488 (only $24.40 per day)

We know dogs really enjoy their play time, nap time, treat time and ALL the time, here during their days at daycare - BUT, we've also created some enriching, educational and fun activities for your dog to enjoy too!

WEEKLY EVENTS: Vary based on the season! Pricing varies per event. Some events include photos, treats and games. Some recent event examples include: Luau, Pool Pawty, Foam Pawty in our warmer months and Bark To School Pawty, Cutest Pumpkin in the Patch, Hairy Pawter Pawty, Howloween Pawty, Santa Claus visit...so MUCH MORE! Event pricing varies and ranges from $13 to $20.

EVENT PACKAGE: 5 events for $65 (restrictions apply)

WEEKLY SPECIALS VARY - Monday Manicures (discounted nail clippings), Training Tuesdays (we work on one specific command or trick), Woofle Wednesdays (homemade waffle treats), Thinking Thursdays (puzzles and games with treats, for your dog to solve), Ice Cream Socials (yes, we have puppy ice cream! Bacon flavored anyone?)

We offer Nature Trail Walk Discount Packages! Add on one-on-one time for your dog. Our Pet Care Specialists will take your dog on a lovely, leg stretching jaunt on the nearby Trout Brook Trail! This service is $12 per walk. However we offer a discount package!

Nature Trail Walk Package: $50 for 5 walks

Enrichment Activities are part of our daily offerings here! We love the opportunity to educate your pooch and engage with them in some fun activities! Our unique Crafty K9 activity is when your dog participates in creating a work of "heart" for you to take home and cherish. From pawprint painting, to lick it art masterpieces, our creativity and your dog's participation, has no limits! Crafty K9 activities change weekly, and can be added on daily. This service is usually $13 per creation. However, we offer a discount package.

Crafty K9 Package: $60 for 5 Crafty K9 activities.

SWIMMING POOL PASSES: $13 per day.

Our NEW interior, heated, 40' swimming pool is open Oct 1st through May 1st.

Exterior swimming pool is open May through September.

Pool Passes are required for swimming pool use.
